PRINTING OUT OR SAVING TO DISK
If you wish to save the information on the screen, or on any
number of screens, you may either print it out on your
printer, or save it to disk in an ASCII text file. The ASCII
text file format is the most universal text format in use
today.
To print out one or more screens to your printer: Press
the {F3} key. You will then be asked, "How many screens?"
If you press {0}, the entire text of that title will be
printed out. Otherwise, only the number of screens you
select will be printed beginning with the screen you were in
when you pressed {F3} and continuing forward. Then press the
{P} key when you are asked whether to print or save/output
to file.
To save the screen information to disk: Press {F3}. Choose
and enter the complete file name you wish to save to
(including a period and a three-letter extension) and
press {ENTER}. Then choose the number of screens you wish to
save. (as in the print function, entering a '0' (zero)
will cause the entire work to be saved) The screen or
screens will automatically be saved to disk in the file
you have designated. If you choose more than one screen, the
number of screens you select will be saved beginning with
the screen you were in when you pressed {F3} and
continuing forward. Then press the {F} key when you are
asked whether to print or save/output to file.
Example of file name: ARTICLE. DOC or LOVE.TXT
To add another screen to a file on disk, press {F3}.
Choose and type in the complete file name you wish to add to
(including a period and a three-letter extension) and
press {ENTER} or press {ENTER} if the correct name already
appears in the window. Press {Y} when asked "Append to
this file? (Y/N):" The file you create will be stored in the
same directory as your software unless you specify
otherwise. Again, when you are asked whether to print or
save/output to file, press the {F} key.
